AMRICONNECT - PRIVACY NOTICE

This Privacy Notice sets out the basis on which we as the Steering Group & Administrators of the Alliance of Mission Researchers and Institutes (AMRI) will process any personal data we collect from you, or that you or third parties provide to us, in connection with your membership of AMRIConnect (hereafter “the Platform) and which relates to you or to any individual connected with you. Please read this Privacy Notice carefully so that you understand your rights in relation to your personal data, and how we will collect, use and process your personal data.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may collect and process the following data about you:

• Information you give us You will give us information about yourself by registering as a member of the Platform, or by corresponding with us directly by letter or email. The information you give us may include your name, address, email address, your personal data such as age, gender, nationality, study areas of interest and other relevant information.

HOW WE USE YOUR DATA.

We use the information collected in the following ways

• To contact you in order to respond to your inquiries
• To run analysis on the user profile of the Platform
• To provide notice of changes regarding the Platform or this Privacy Policy
• To manage and administer the Platform and where necessary to resolve issues arising from your membership of the Platform.

WHO DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA WITH

We will not disclose your information to any organisations except those appointed to carry out specific aspects of our responsibilities as the Steering Group and Administrators of the Platform.

COOKIES AND OTHER DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES

We may use both session and persistent cookies in connection with our Platform. Cookies, pixel tags, web beacons or similar technologies may be used on some of our Platform pages and HTML-formatted email messages to, among other things, manage studies and to enhance your user experience. We may also use these technologies for security purposes, to facilitate navigation, to display information more effectively, and to better serve you with more tailored information, as well as for site administration purposes, e.g., to gather statistical information about the usage of our Platform in order to continually improve the design and functionality, to understand how users use our Platform, and to assist us with resolving questions regarding use of the Platform. The cookies used with the site are:

• XSRF-TOKEN - This is a Laravel default cookie, required for the site to work
• amriconnect_session - This is a Laravel default cookie, required for the site to work
• _pk_ses.4.8e98 - This cookie is used for Matomo tracking and is not required if the user decides to decline.
• _pk_id.4.8e98 - This cookie is used for Matomo tracking and is not required if the user decides to decline.

WHERE DO WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA AND FOR HOW LONG

The personal information you register with AMRIConnect is held by the Platform administrators, and by the Platform developers, Global Initiative. Global Initiative have their own secure systems and are under a duty of confidentiality to the Steering Group and Administrators of AMRI Connect.

We will retain your data for as long as you remain an active member of AMRI Connect and afterwards for a period of six years, after which it will be deleted. We may retain anonymised and aggregated data for longer periods.

ACCESS TO INFORMATION

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) guidelines, the Data Controller of the Platform is Oxford Centre For Mission Studies of Woodstock Road, Oxford OX2 6HR, UK, registered as a UK charity number 290112 and as a company limited by guarantee registered in England and Wales number 1835274.

The GDPR legislation gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the legislation. Please note that we will require you to verify your identity before we respond.

HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

Under the data protection laws, data can only be processed if the processing is necessary for one or more specific grounds. The main legal basis on which we process your data is that we need to use your personal information for the purposes of our legitimate interests, being the effective administration of the Platform.

CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY NOTICE

Any changes we may make to our Privacy notice in the future will be posted on the AMRIConnect website at www.amriconnect.net and where appropriate notified to you in writing or by email.
